4 Months Old!

It's hard to believe that Luke is already 4 months old! It seems like time has flown, but at the same time it's hard to remember life without him. We went to the doctor today for his 4 month well visit. He weighed in at 16 pounds 8 ounces and is 26 inches long. It's crazy how fast the Big Man is growing up!

At 4 months we also got the go ahead to give Luke cereal. Here are a few pictures of his first experience...

Excited for the first bite

Not so much when it actually made it to his mouth

Seriously? What is this stuff?

All done! I think he'll give it a try again.

Graduation Day!

After two years of being monitored by the Pediatric Stroke Team at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Addie officially graduated today!
We had her two year appointment where she was evaluated by her neurologist, speech pathologist, physical therapist, and occupational therapist. No one had any concerns about Addie's development at all. Everyone was thrilled with how our little lady is progressing and they see no reason to see her again! We are so thankful for everyone at CHOP and the Stroke Program. They not only provided extraordinary care to Addie, but Keith and I felt supported by them as well.

In hindsight, it has been incredible to see how God had an amazing plan for Addie since before she was born. He timed my pregnancy and her birth perfectly so that we could be close to the only pediatric stroke program in the entire country. Although she had a rough start and Keith and I were catapulted into high stress parenting from Day 1, the Lord has held our sweet girl in His hands and orchestrated every perfect detail of her story. Happy Graduation Day Addie girl!

Buddies

Last week we went to the Doylestown Airport with some friends to watch the planes come in and out and have a picnic dinner. It got a little chilly towards the end of the night, so Luke and his friend Ryan enjoyed some time snuggled under a blanket. It will be so fun to watch these little guys grow up together!

Something intriguing must have been happening to their left

Best buds already!

Roughed Up

Last night we enjoyed a great night of fellowship with our small group from church at a local park. It was a beautiful night; we ordered pizzas, the kids ran themselves ragged, and we enjoyed each others' company. Toward the end of the night, Addie was running (her usual, she's not much of a walker) and somehow fell down on her face and did a complete somersault. Although her acrobatic proved quite impressive, the fall left its mark...it looks a little more like she got roughed up by the playground bully.

Close up of the injury

Luckily, this girl is pretty rough and tumble...I'm pretty sure she's okay!

Easter Pics!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend spending time with family and friends. Luke didn't get all dolled up for Easter this year, but watch out for him next year...I envision a sweater vest in his future! Since he wasn't dressed up, apparently the photographer didn't get any shots of him. He was there with us though. So here are some pictures of Miss Addie enjoying the day.

All dressed up!

There was absolutely no chance of her sitting still AND smiling

Egg hunt at Mimi and Pappy's house!

How many eggs can she hold at once?

Running like someone was going to get to the eggs before her!

Adventures in the Exersaucer

A few days ago I decided that Luke was big enough to explore the wonderful world of the exersaucer. Addie was a huge fan and I'm hoping that Luke will love it just as much. He's still a little unstable, but prop him in there with a few blankets and he's good to go. It's so fun to watch this little guy explore!

Hmmm...what is this thing?

So fun!

I think it's safe to say the Big Man loves the exersaucer!

Outtakes

I've come to the conclusion that getting an infant and a two year old to both look at the camera and smile simultaneously is next to impossible. It does however, make for some humorous pictures. Enjoy!

First sibling photo-op...Addie is obviously thrilled

Still not sure what to think

Refusing to smile or look at the camera

Not in the mood for a photo shoot

Believe it or not, she's giving him a kiss

Please Touch Museum

We decided to go to the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia to celebrate Addie's birthday. She had a great time and loved being able to explore and play with everything. The only low point of the day is the stomach bug that we suspect was picked up there. Apparently "please touch" can be synonymous with lots o germs. All in all, we're glad that we went...the birthday girl had a great time!

Exploring her musical talents

Watch out world...crazy driver on the loose!

First carousel ride

Very curious

The grocery store was the highlight of the trip

Quite the little shopper

Now only if she knew how to cook all that food...
